PolymedcoInc. is a leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributer in the clinical laboratory marketplace. Polymedco supplies clinical diagnostic test kits and devices that are specializedin hematology and cancer. We are a world leader in non-invasive colorectal cancer screening technology, providing the new standardof care with the OC-Auto® product line. Our PATHFAST® cardiac biomarker analyzer provides core lab results at the point of care, quickly diagnosing at risk cardiac patients.

he Sales Specialist position is in based out of the Austin Texas office. and Reports to: Manager of ,Sales Training & Distributor Management.

This position offers the flexibility to work a hybrid work schedule with a partially remote schedule.

Position Summary:

The Sales Specialist will work collaboratively with the field sales executives and distributor sales teams, when applicable, as well as internal operational team members to ensure a successful customer experience in both implementations and ongoing relationship management. Through a partnership approach with the field sales team, they will build relationships with healthcare institutions in a specified geographic territory to bring value to these customers by enablement of both sales and operations activities. This could include introducing customers to our leading diagnostic testing kits and instrumentation as well as coordinating a focus on analytical data to drive growth and expansion of existing customers. While efforts will be concentrated on the FIT portfolio, the Sales Specialist will collaborate with the entire sales team to ensure a One Polymedco view and focus on the customer.

Key expectations and measurement of success for this role will be defined through annual goals and objectives that align to the growth expectation of the geographic territory.

The primary responsibility of the Sales Specialist will be to support sales efforts of IDN customers both new and existing through profiling, implementations & in-services, coordinating business reviews and proactive issue identification. Gaining market intelligence to align sales efforts.

In addition to IDNs, the Sales Specialist will support customers identified through segmentation that require a point of contact for continued successful screening programs. The Sales Specialist will generate new leads and information that ultimately leads to the acquisition and/or expansion of use and increasing sales for the specified geographic territory. Collaborating with appropriate field Executives and/or Distributors for further development and closure of leads.

Additional areas of focus include maintaining renewal contract database, order management for instrumentation and consumables, coordinate initial supply orders for optimized launch of solution, maintain ongoing forecast with intel from customer, standing/ blanket order setup, collect DFM & OCPU patient compliance & anticipated rate of return; manage order issues & customer communication/messaging, root cause identification, schedule and build content for quarterly business reviews.

Through a One Polymedco approach, the Sales Specialist will interact with decision makers, physicians and distributor contacts. In addition to leading Program Launch training in a virtual environment, travel to customer sites is expected. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the successful implementation of new products within Integrated Delivery Network systems and large laboratories through various means. These avenues include, but are not limited to, educating, in-servicing, and interfacing with physicians, nurses, clinic administrators, laboratory personnel, etc. who are affiliated with IDNs, medical groups and healthcare systems both existing and new customers.

Essential Functions and Duties include the following:

Align goals to the specified geographic territory in collaboration with the field Sales team

Keep accurate and up to date account records in Polymedco’ s designated CRM

Collaborate on sales strategies to increase penetration with existing customers as well as target new customers

§Market research to include Medical Directors, Laboratory Directors, CEO’s, VP’s of Cancer Care and Prevention, Population Health, Best Practices, Chief Medical Officers and other related job titles with decision making and leadership functions to identify sales opportunities

§ Market research to include Health System CRC screening approach, initiatives, trends and goals

§ Contact hospital, physician offices, clinics, and various medical institutions as directed to identify sales opportunities

  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales Account Executive or Sales Manager for further development and closure

§ Call on customers to fulfill reorders, increase revenue, and maintain existing accounts

§ Collect all required information for solution launch timeline and coordinate internal efforts to obtain implementation documents and plan of action

§ Assist with special corporate projects or focuses as needed

§ Keep up to date on medical advances and competitors within our area of diagnostic sales

§ Attend Polymedco meetings and functions

§ Travel for training purposes, account implementation projects and/or account training will be required

§ Occasional “off hours” work (early morning, evenings and/or due to business needs

Qualification/Requirements:

§ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.

§ Top Performer with inside sales experience is highly desired

  • Ability to guide and motivate others
  • Ability to organize, manage multiple priorities and detail oriented
  • Candidates must collaborate within the sales and operational team to drive sales and ultimately save lives

§ Computer proficiency including presentation skills

§ Ability to travel to different parts of the territory, 4-8 overnight stays per month

§ Valid driver’s license

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
