Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Mettler Toledo needs to add to our Inside Sales team in Columbus, Ohio. As a Sales Development Representative, you will proactively support Field Sales Representatives by increasing their sales efficiency. Your responsibilities would include:
Supporting our Field Sales Representatives by proactively calling and qualifying prospects, setting up appointments or conducting necessary research.- Managing inbound requests through calls or emails from accounts related to leads and opportunities or quotes for new business.
- Registering leads, qualifying and distributing them.
- Nurturing high-value leads and high potential but dormant customers, either by phone or email.
- Managing selected opportunities, creating quotes or performing follow-up activities as needed.
- Covering the full product portfolio across Mettler Toledo.
What You Need to Succeed
- A bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related life science
- Sales, customer service and/marketing experience for at least 2 to 3 years
- A daring spirit and a preference for work in a fast-paced sales environment
- A confirmed ability and technical acumen to learn our products and sell our service contracts
- The ability to communicate product knowledge, differentiate from the competition, and solve customer problems
- Excellent people skills to create rapport with prospects quickly
As a Plus, Do You Also Have?
Inbound or outbound call center experience or worked in an inside sales role before- Experience using SAP's CRM system
