As a Business Development Coordinator, one will be responsible for working within the Brokerage Department, coordinating with new and perspective customers, assist in negotiating rates, upselling services, handling shipment tracking, and warm calling clients for perspective business.

Duties and responsibilities

• Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow up and outbound cold calls and emails.
• Understanding customer needs and requirements.
• Understanding the full list of SPEED’s services.
• Understanding and selling new opportunities through closure and routing qualified strategic opportunities to the appropriate sales executive for further development and closure.
• Developing strong working relationships with customers and implement marketing campaign programs to meet company goals.
• Provide regular updates and information relating to daily activities and account statuses.
• Take lead on campaign activity – email campaigns, targeted marketing, etc. working with SPEED staff.
• Develop a territory in the local market by referral, networking, cold calling, extensive prospecting, and business to business sales.
• Generate interest in SPEED services to established customers and develop new prospects within assigned territory.
• Discuss and resolve any customer questions or concerns regarding business needs.
• Provide sales ready leads with regular cadence – weekly, monthly, quarterly.
• Tack activity, prepare and maintain records for sales leads and account status within our CRM.
