Full description of the position

Description:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for account management activities for multi-dwelling units (MDU) in the assigned territory. We are a sales organization with uncapped commission opportunity. Our Outside Sales Representatives work with properties and leasing agents to provide telecom and internet solutions for residents.

The focus for our Outside Sales Representatives will be driving residential sales of Internet, TV, and Mobility products through leasing agents and property managers of apartments and HOA’s. Property account management is key to success in this job. The happier the property is, the more referrals and commissions you make. Your day to day will involve generating new sales within a module or territory, making sales calls, building and managing relationships, networking, and identifying opportunities.

Outside Sales Representative Main Responsibilities

  • Meets with Multi-Dwelling units (MDUs) and indirect retail (IR) partners in the assigned territory.
  • Builds rapport with and trains ownership/management and appropriate leasing and/or sales personnel; explains roles and responsibilities; provides marketing materials
  • Follows up via live visits and phone to ensure effective use of marketing materials
  • Seeks out and creates opportunities to increase penetration and generate revenue.
  • Managing a module of properties and leasing agents to drive strong relationships.
  • Selling internet, TV, and mobility products and services to new and existing tenants at the property.
  • Hosting events on-site at the request of the landlord or carrier partner.
  • Growing your module by adding new properties.
  • Executing our sales program

Other things to know:

  • Outside Sales Representatives will spend more than 80% of their time outside of their office. Duties include: prospecting new properties, property visits, inbound phone calls for sales, customer service, and account maintenance. Prospecting methods include: calling, working with leasing staff and property managers, attending events, door to door, mail merge, etc.
  • Work hours will be based on business needs, but are generally 9am to 6pm and will include some nights and/or weekends.
  • Where a field office is within 20 miles, you will be expected to start your day there by 9am.
Requirements:

What We Look For in an Outside Sales Representative Candidate

  • Ability to achieve goals and determine priorities.
  • Bi-Lingual (Spanish) is a nice to have
  • Required to work varying hours including weekends, evenings and holidays.
  • Relationship building skills are required for this position with the ability to work with internal and external clients at various levels.
  • Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined and provide prompt follow-up to all customer inquiries.
  • Strong organizational skills and time management skills are imperative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be able to effectively multi-task.
  • Have a motor vehicle transportation- you’ll be driving a lot

  • 2+ year experience in account management
  • Background in selling Internet, TV, and Mobile phones to customers
  • Associates or higher degree
