Modern Group Power Systems is currently seeking an Aftermarket Sales Representative to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the sales of stand-by power solutions which include generators, switchgear and associated technology throughout the DC, Maryland, & Northern Virginia areas,

Essential Duties

  • Execute the sales of stand-by power generators and other technologies to customers in a defined sales area.
  • Provide pre-sale technical assistance when reviewing project requirements.
  • Prepare quotes based on technical specifications. Present to the customer and negotiate terms of the sale.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications..
  • Participate in industry tradeshows, networking engagements and other industry events.
  • Manage pricing, product/service mix, and margins according to agreed upon expectations.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.

Requirements

  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong communications and organizational skills are required as well as the ability to build relationships with a variety of individuals with different backgrounds.
  • Computer skills should include both MS Office and CRM experience.
  • Ability to identify and exceed customer expectations while managing a high volume of workload
