Job Description
The Outside Sales Representative will develop new oil and gas customers by identifying opportunities, creating quotes and orders, and coordinating with the field team. This role will require strong communication, negotiation skills, customer relationships and the ability to multi-task.
Role and Responsibilities
- Generate sales and maintain relationships across new Oil and Gas Automation/Chemical Injection customers
- Under the supervision of Director of Sales create new quotes and deliver to customers
- Forecast growth and sales across current customers
- Train and work efficiently with Inside Sales team on finding Automation solutions for new and current customers
- Travel to customer locations on sales calls to assist customers with product and provide accurate quotes
- Organize internal and external trainings for customers and BLS employees
- Coordinate with field supervisors working on the same accounts to ensure consistent service and expectations
- Provide technical information for parts and assemblies and recognize customer requests based on applications
- Communicates customer needs and demands to BLS teammates
- Advises customer on proper part selection based on application
- Follow up and close open orders through direct customer communication
- Learn and utilize ERP system (P21) for quote to order process
- Keeps customer pricing confidential and maintain profit margins
- Ensures accuracy in quotes before sending out to customer
- Maintain and update sales funnel database
- Ability to make quick decisions and reprioritize tasks efficiently often multiple times in a day
- Answer inbound emails and phone calls in timely manner
- Provide feedback to R&D team to improve product quality and design
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage high stress situations
- Assist with billing and invoicing, as necessary
- Assist in quarterly inventory counts and other projects as needed
- Participate in Weekly Sales Meetings with Director of Sales and Sales Team
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 3-5 years of Oil and Gas Automation sales experience required
- Contract & Conflict Negotiation experience
- Engineering & Business Background preferred
- Hands on knowledge of Prophet 21 or other similar ERP system
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel, word, outlook, PowerPoint, and access
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must reside within 50 miles of the Windsor, CO Location
Salary Range:
Base salary - $65,000 - $80,000 per year (DOE) plus commission. Annual salary capped at $120k
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
