Full description of the position

The Admiral Fell Inn and the Inn at Henderson's Wharf in Baltimore are seeking a Sales Manager to drive individual and group bookings. The hotels are conveniently located in the historic Fells Point neighborhood of Baltimore, within walking distance of several quaint shops and restaurants.

Responsibilities:
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Solicits/Prospects all business potential from companies,
  • Individuals and organizations for group and transient room nights
  • Books quality business which meets the needs of the client as well as the hotels budgeted criteria.
  • Fully understands that the most important function of the Sales Department is to book business at a profitable level.
  • Job function ultimately requires the ability to close and secure sales for the hotel.
  • Responsible for out-going contracts to clients in a timely manner then follow up on any necessary correspondences.
  • Maintaining accounts, keeping clients happy to ensure repeat business & loyalty.
  • Small amount of problem solving and a great amount of liaison with other hotel managers and staff.
  • Participates in Sales and Yield meetings
  • Use the Choice Brand as a tool to book business for room nights. Establish relationships with the Choice National Sales Team to maximize opportunities through the Brand.
  • Maintain organized sales records and month end sales reports.
  • Ensuring the adequacy of sales-related equipment or materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and provide excellence on work delivery.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 year in sales role, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Choice experience a plus.
  • Flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a professional appearance.
  • Must be able to multi task and keep a positive attitude at all times in a fast paced environment.
  • Must keep a neat and organized work area.
  • Must be able to communicate to all departments effectively.
  • A team player with high level of dedication.
