Summary: Establish and maintain relationships with physicians, hospital case managers, and other referral sources to obtain business referrals and ensure smooth operational processes by performing the below:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Assisting and working with management and other personnel: Activities

  • Assist the contract department in contracting activities and evaluation of new products, services, etc.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and keep expense accounts within operating budgets.
  • Generate expense reports and maintain organizational budget.
  • Recommend corrective action plans to address customer complaints and needs.
  • Develop and recommend product positioning, delivery, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Prepare weekly marketing activity reports via company CRM.
  • Obtain original, signed CMNs and submit them back to the Billing Department.
  • Identify and report outstanding CMNs.
  • Responsible for developing hitting sales goals and objectives as requested.

Customer Service: Activities

  • Assist customers and prospects in the referral process of patients to HME Specialists.
  • Advise customers of equipment for given need based on technical knowledge of products.
  • Display or demonstrate products and services, using samples or catalog, and emphasize selling features.
  • Investigate, identify and help customers with deliveries, products, and services.

Personal integrity and selling ethics: Activities

  • Represent HME Specialists products and services at their true value
  • Recognize and respect patient rights during the provision of care or services and conducting business relationships with patient and the public in an ethical manner.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent, positive company image.
  • Support the HME Specialists' Mission Statement, vision and values.
  • Maintain standards of all applicable regulatory agencies.

Selling: Activities

  • Engage customers in order to drive sales; Ask every customer for their next referral.
  • Market and implement HME Specialists' customer appreciation program.
  • Plan and attend educational in-service meetings with key accounts.
  • Assist with HME Specialists' health fair and trade show booths.
  • Qualify new accounts who are not currently utilizing HME Specialists' services.
  • Assist with the development and production of promotional and collateral materials.

Developing relationships with customers: Activities

  • Establish and maintain relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
  • Travel through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit referrals, and speak with customers by phone. Serve as the primary point of contact with referral sources.

Keeping abreast of market conditions: Activities

  • Study data describing new products to develop sales approach.
  • Monitor competitive products, services, and marketing activities.
  • Participate in traditional and e-learning programs (Brightree, The VGM Group, HealthTrainU, Educational Videos)

Meeting sales objective: Activities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of HME Specialists.
  • Maintain company CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool and update account activity on a daily basis

Maintaining complete client records.

  • Maintenance of CRM (Per Regional Sales Manager)

Update company records as requested.
