Engine Parts Centers consists of four engine parts warehouses located across the Southeastern United States with over 40 professional associates. Our corporate and administrative office is located in Meridian, MS. We stock a broad range of engine parts for passenger cars, small trucks, marine, diesel, industrial, agricultural and high-performance applications. Customer Service Associate / Sales Specialist (With assigned warehouse duties)

General/Summary Description:

Receives, inspects, records, stores, stocks, counts, verifies, pulls, packages, separates, arranges, and in general maintains supplies and merchandise inventories; performs clerical processes related to movement of on hand merchandise; performs duties required to service customers; performs other related duties as required; performs all of the above in a manner that encourages good customer service and relationship; reports to Warehouse Manager.

Exemplary/Illustrative Duties & Responsibilities:

Receives deliveries, assists in unloading trucks, operating lifts when required, verifies goods against printed order, checks quantities and description and reports shortages, damages, or other discrepancies; stores inventories or supplies in their proper. place; maintains a clean and orderly shipping, receiving and warehouse area; performs those duties related to servicing and selling customers; pulls, verifies and packages outgoing orders or shipments; operates manifest system; performs other task related to warehouse duties; and occasionally performs those duties related to servicing and selling customers; answers telephone; checks part numbers and prices; writes and places special orders; takes cash payments; verifies checks, credit cards; maintains cash drawer; maintains printed catalog and price sheets; maintains pertinent printed material used in daily operations; makes stock transfers for requesting warehouses.

Qualifications/Employment Standards/Requirements:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent; two years automotive store or warehouse experience or automotive vocational training preferred.

Skills: Preferred CRT literate; communicates clearly and concisely in both written and oral forms; reads and interprets automotive catalog and materials; exemplifies good judgment, friendliness, tact and firmness in dealing with customers and associates.

Knowledge: Shipping and receiving processes; automotive aftermarket terminology; diesel and gas engines and engine components; engine parts usage and substitution; shop supplies and equipment and use of same.

Physical Demands: Lift twenty-five or less pounds regularly and seventy or less occasionally; excellent non-corrected or corrected vision; adequate hearing for conversation or heavy telephone use; ability to speak and annunciate clearly so that all can understand; able to stand and or walk on concrete floors six to eight hours per day; good physical agility to move into/out of and maintain (while performing task) positions of kneeling, stooping, crouching, bending, neck rotation, twisting, reaching over head, squatting, sitting and climbing stairs occasionally; must be able to move into/out of and maintain position of sitting constantly; must be able to walk, stoop, squat, bend, climb, reach overhead, pull, twist and balance.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
