Ware Insurance, an independent agency in Virginia Beach, is currently interviewing for a full-time experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager. The candidate should have at least five years of Commercial Insurance experience and possess a Property and Casualty license. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and EPIC Applied Systems Agency Management System is a plus. Ware Insurance offers a competitive salary, benefits, and a friendly working atmosphere. Required operations of the Commercial Lines Account Manager are described, but not limited to, the items below:

• Assist clients promptly, accurately and courteously
• Maintain data records within EPIC Applied System
• Work with producers and inform them of important activities on accounts
• Maintain accounts receivable for agency billed policies only
• Maintain control of renewals and remarket renewal business as needed
• Notify and discuss renewals with producers starting 120 days prior to expiration date
• Review quotes and prepare proposals
• Maintain professional relationship with company personnel
• Take claim reports from clients and assist client if needed. Notify producers of significant or severe losses or frequent claims
• Maintain a follow-up system for all pending activities and processes on a daily basis
• Keep up to date on new markets, rate changes, carrier appetites, and policy changes
• Provide back up to co-workers when they are out of the office
• Attend insurance company seminars, complete continuing education courses and pursue designations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
