Are you interested in getting into the event industry?

EventRent is currently looking for an outgoing and motivated, customer-oriented, customer service representative!

This position does not require any experience. We will train the job, the most important thing for the candidate to bring is an eagerness to learn and excel in their job!

A customer service representative, or CSR, provides product/service information and resolve any emerging problems that our customers might face with accuracy and efficiency. The best CSRs are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. They love to talk. Customer service representatives can put themselves in their customers’ shoes and advocate for them when necessary. Problem-solving comes naturally to customer care specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries and maintain high customer satisfaction.

This position would start by learning our business and customer service/inside sales areas, and may have the opportunity transition slowly to our outside sales team or administrative team, once the employee has the proper knowledge, if it is determined to be a good fit for both the employee and the company.

Our customer service/inside sales team have a wide variety of tasks to perform from answering phone calls and emails, to helping customers choose what items they will need for their event, to entering information into our computers and handling paperwork, to getting dishes and linens prepared for customers to pick up and communicating with customers and co-workers. Attention to detail, good multi-tasking abilities and communication skills are a must, as well as a willingness to engage in light labor tasks, such as loading/unloading linens and dishes in store.

We are looking for friendly, energetic and self-motivated employees to work closely with our current staff to provide our customers with an attentive and informative experience.

Schedule varies between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm during the week and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturdays. Saturdays are a must.

Training for the first two weeks is scheduled for 5 hour days.

Responsibilities

  • Manage large amounts of incoming calls and emails
  • Identify and assess customer's needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build trust with customers through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

Our outside sales team, in addition to the previous tasks, check in on-site on some events, follow up during and after events to make sure the customers are happy, reach out to customers to schedule for the following event/year, contact new customers and work to foster relationships with existing customers, build event timelines, produce and update CAD's. Outside sales team members are often scheduled on-site for meetings and events. Events and/or meetings may be scheduled outside of these hours.

Pay negotiable DOE.
