Why is this role Important to Brinson Benefits

  • As the Senior Account Executive, you are the face of Brinson Benefits to your assigned clients. We rely on you to cultivate relationships with group clients by providing key resource support in managing their employee benefit plans throughout the year, as well as at renewal.
  • What success in this role looks like in three months … six months … one year. Within 3 months, success will be the completion of internal training, followed by clients being assigned to you so you can begin managing your clients with guidance from your colleagues and team. You will also need to earn a group 1 health & life insurance license, if not currently licensed.
  • Within 6 months, success will be executing the Brinson Benefits’ client process and protocols while managing the renewal and open enrollment process with minimal support or supervision.
  • Within 12 months, success will be you guiding your clients through ALL aspects of the Brinson client lifecycle and renewal process, autonomously with minimal strategic account support.

What You’ll be Doing

The primary responsibility of this position is to develop and facilitate the client relationship by being a consultant who assists clients in managing their employee benefit plans throughout the year as well as at renewal. Guiding the client through the renewal process from a strategic perspective is also a key component of the position in tandem with applying suggestive selling techniques for adding additional lines of coverage based upon the client’s needs. The person in this position must be proficient in utilizing technology resources to accomplish all job-related duties in an efficient manner. A Senior Account Executive should also conduct themselves with the highest degree of professional integrity.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration preferred, but not required.
  • Five to seven years’ experience in Human Resources or account management within the health insurance industry is preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English, with demonstrated ability to write and speak proficiently in both languages is required. What we would love for you to have
  • Great presentation skills that allow you to engage your clients’ and their employees while you educate them about benefits, offering tips and tricks to help them navigate the complex world of healthcare.
  • Organization, time management, and the ability to effectively prioritize work are crucial to being successful in this position as you will manage multiple clients simultaneously through the client lifecycle, including renewal and open enrollment.
  • Proficiency in and confidence with technology at a high level in conducting virtual meetings and presenting technology tools for solution purposes.
