Full description of the position

The Order Entry Specialist works in the Customer Service Dept. and provides support to the Sales Department and to customers who contact us in writing. They are responsible for entering all data accurately and efficiently for customer orders, credit requests, etc. and support all filing processes.

Responsibilities:

Support sales team by accurately entering all orders into the system and in linking these orders to automated system.
Create order verifications to send to customers.
Accurately perform various data entry tasks that include but is not limited to entering new customer accounts, Sales orders and return (RMA) authorizations into (ERP).
Responds daily to customer inquiries/requests through various communication vehicles such as e-mail.
Work exception reports to understand why certain items have not been processed and provide information to supervisor.
Participate in all systems database updates such as price changes, part number additions, etc.
Use mathematical skills and calculators to provide simple pricing information to customers.
Completes, maintains, and processes pertinent documents, paperwork, records that include order verifications, etc.
Ensure documents are filed using department filing systems and procedures.
Requirements
Education:

Skills and Experience Requirements:

One year of data entry or office administration preferred.
MS Office, Database Management
Ability to prioritize tasks and be self-directed.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customers via email and inbound calls

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
