Sales Manager

Position Summary and Scope

The Sales Manager position is required to successfully perform product sales functions, actively pursuing new business opportunities through cold calling, sales visits and presentations. The Sales Manager will assist Inside Sales with order and data entry including customer support and account management.

Organizational Relationships

The Sales Manager reports to the President and works with the Inside Sales Team, the Design Team, Quality, Marketing, Contract Review and Shipping to fulfill customers’ expectations

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading sales team to reach sales targets
• Oversee and mentorship of the sales team
• Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives
• Manage assignment of sales accounts, commission review
• Track and analyzing department metrics and KPI’s for continuous improvement of account growth
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts
• Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
• Develop and execute sales plans
• Facilitate and assist with company meetings, weekly sales meetings
• Creating and presenting reports or presentations as requested by the President
• Assists Inside Sales in resolving customer complaint issues
• Maintain, monitor, and grow assigned top performing customers
• Cold calling and developing new opportunities
• Developing and implementing effective sales practices, strategies, and activities in support of the company’s goals
• Performing sales related data collection and analysis, and reporting as required by the President and Top Management
• Collaborate with vendors and distributors to maximize partnership success
• Assist Inside Sales with RMA procedure, part entries, order entry, quoting and follow-up
• Manage customer contact and account activity
• Responsible for compliance to the requirements of the ISO quality management system
• Guest reception answering incoming calls and information routing functions as required
• Develop competitor product replacement strategies with nationwide distributors
• Participate in product trade shows while improving lead capturing/follow-up
• Other activities as assigned by the President

Education & Training

• Associate or 4-year Degree, plus two years of experience in a sales and/or customer service environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Thorough knowledge of sales order entry, customer service and sales support functions.
• Good working knowledge of personal computers and office software including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Knowledgeable in the use of CRM relational database programs such as Sage (ACT), Sales Force etc.
• Capable of operating typical office machinery/devices, including personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines, wireless communication devices, multi-line business telephone systems, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Familiar with database derived reporting.

Pay and Benefits

$100,000 plus commission
