Full description of the position

CLARK Material Handling Company, is a 100 year old company, and a global leader in the material handling and forklift industry. CLARK is seeking qualified candidates to join our team.

The Inside Dealer Sales Manager position will provide inside sales support to a group of defined dealerships. Will be responsible to promote CLARK programs, products, and finance programs to the assigned dealers. Position is required to develop dealer administered major accounts and to assist dealerships with customer calls.
Under guidance of the Manager this position will insure that maximum market share is obtained by implementing and administering sales management programs and marketing strategies for the sale of respective product lines by CLARK dealers.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop, support and enable product sales volume achieved through CLARK dealer sales channel.
  • Will contact dealerships weekly to promote programs, products and finance programs.
  • Provide Product Support and training to Dealerships
  • Provide discount assistance and price analysis for CLARK and Dealerships with guidance from manager.
  • Communicate daily with dealerships in an assigned territory, to build relationships and secure orders including building dealer administered major accounts.
  • Assist dealership personnel with customer targets, proposals and product information as needed.
  • Negotiate sales orders, pricing and discounts with coaching provided from the Manager.
  • Act as a liaison between CLARK and each dealership for lift truck and parts sales.
  • Problem solving between CLARK and each dealership as required as related to product applications, inventory forecasting, truck tracking, warranty, product issue, orders and credits.
  • Assist in planning and executing of various events, trade shows and meetings.
  • Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager team to support collective efforts to enable dealer channel sales success.
  • Responsible to work in conjunction with the dealer sales managers, sales representatives, sales coordinators and dealer principals to develop & document the dealership annual marketing plans for CLARK lift truck & parts to be sold in each dealership.
Minimum Job Qualifications Requirements:
  • BA or BS in business or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the Material Handling industry or similar industry dealer channel experience.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain dealer confidence.
Self-starter, able to multi task, communicate effectively, and possess superior time management skills.
Must have Microsoft Office Products skills
Some travel required
  • Organizational, planning and prioritizing skills required.
  • Uses good judgment.
  • Ability to develop, understand and maintain knowledge of CLARK material handling equipment product specifications, applications, as well as dealer sales programs and policies.
  • Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the U.S. without sponsorship.
