Main Purpose of the Role:
The Vice President of Sales, Corporate Services position is an important part of the organization at Veritext and will be responsible for providing essential support to corporate clients and the team of Account Executives responsible for this business unit.
The Vice President of Sales will have a proven track record of success in a business-to-business sales environment. Prior experience selling and leading sales within the property and casualty insurance vertical and/or working with legal departments of Fortune 500 companies would be beneficial.
This is a revenue driven role, with direct responsibilities for key client-relationships.
The Vice President of Sales, Corporate Services will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong desire to lead and the ability to leverage legal experience to manage and grow business. Vice President of Sales will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in assigned market. Staffs and directs a sales team and provides leadership and coaching towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for clients and Account Executives.
The Vice President of Sales will collaborate with the Vice President of Operations, Corporate Services to ensure attainment of all operation business objective, all client objectives and adherence to Service Level Agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships and grow top-tier corporate clients in the organization
- Work side by side with the government sales team to achieve growth in this sector
- Collaborate with the field leaders to grow the corporate business in the individual markets Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures the attainment of company sales goals and profitability
- Responsible for the performance and development of the Account Executives.
- Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by the team for effective search of sales leads and prospects
- Initiates and coordinates the development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Conducts one-on-one review with all Account Executives to build more effective communications, understand training and development needs, and provide insight for the improvement of the Account Executive’s sales and activity performance
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports submitted by Account Executives
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses
- Assists Account Executives in preparation of proposals and presentations.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team
- Interviews and hires Account Executives based on criteria agreed upon by senior management
- Sales Support functions such as ordering client giveaways, and event planning.
- Client and witness accommodations (setting up conference rooms for depositions, meetings, etc.)
- Provide support to regional account executives for sales and marketing efforts, including coordination of Trade Shows, catering, networking events, and sponsorships; ensure a ready supply of marketing collateral and promotional items
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Assisting the Head of Sales in the development of contests, projects, and other activities that help drive the sales process

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or five years’ work experience
- Minimum of five experiences
- Knowledge of the legal services industry
Prior Knowledge
- Proficient in relevant computer software packages and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication
