Full description of the position

A successful National Account Manager for FMP is a driven, dedicated self-starter who strives to fully understand customer needs, systems, and processes. They are great communicator with a positive attitude and works efficiently both independently and as a team.

  • Ensure that customer accounts are established and maintained properly including working with operations, account maintenance, pricing execution, and accounts receivable and credit reconciliation.
  • Responsible for developing and nurturing strong relationships for new and existing customers.
  • Act as a single point of contact for your assigned accounts, assisting with order placement, handling order status inquiries, and assisting with other needs/inquiries.
  • Follow-up regularly with your customers to ensure satisfaction, address any issues, and assess potential for additional sales opportunities.
  • Monitor customer sales activities and develop appropriate action plans that respond to customer needs.
  • Grow current customer sales through a variety of sales activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop plans and strategies to meet customer needs and grow profitable sales.
  • Participate in budgeting process by forecasting sales and planning.
  • Communicates regularly through appropriate verbal or written communication with management regarding sales activities and outcomes, sales forecast, customer accounts, and challenges.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including formal presentation skills before both small and large groups.
  • Intermediate computer skills including but not limited to Gmail, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and present analytics and metrics.
  • Ability to influence and understand customer needs, gather information and make a recommendation
  • Ability to think creatively to overcome customer rejections.
  • Ability to successfully adapt to and effectively deal with ever changing business conditions.
  • Demonstrated ability in problem solving and negotiation with special emphasis on closing sales.
  • Ability to conduct business in a professional manner with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to travel to adequately manage customer base.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-10 years successful sales and inside sales roles.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience within Automotive industry
