The objective of the Account Manager role within our First Line platform is to provide superior service to our clients that place personal lines insurance (e.g., homeowners, auto, contents, etc.) through Virtus. This role requires a keen ability to understand client needs and deliver best-in-class customer service results. The role will be responsible for taking taking client leads, quoting, binding and servicing personal lines policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*
- Assists team members in all aspects of client service on assigned accounts, managing key processes that serve clients and the internal activities related to these processes.
- Works as part of the team to provide seamless client service and quality work.
- Actively support and monitor the new business and renewal processes.
- Inform client(s) of all changes that may affect insurance premiums or coverage, utilizing agency operating system to manage the process and delivery of policy change endorsements.
- Assist in generating materials for client presentations and meetings.
- Gather and compile exposure information from the client, including compiling loss-run summaries.
- Respond in a timely manner to the requests and needs of the client, sales producer and/or team.
- Effectively manage the daily needs of clients, which may include additions, deletions, lender negotiations, contract reviews.
- Works with external partner to perform policy validation and send checked policy(s) to client, including sending correction requests to carriers and setting activity(s) to follow up until completion.
- Oversee invoicing and coordinate between client and accounting to fully process; follow-up on receivables for assigned clients, ensuring timely collections.
- Ensure that account data supports the integrity of company accounting and tracking systems.
- Act with responsiveness, urgency, and professionalism in all client interactions.
- Generate new ideas or techniques to continuously improve procedures.
- Other tasks as needed and assigned.

Education and Experience:*
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field and/or years of experience equivalent preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of previous Personal Insurance account management experience, with an emphasis in client success on Private Client accounts and high net worth carriers a plus.
- The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of various Personal Insurance products, coverages, national insurance carriers and the ability to learn new operating and quoting platforms.
- Insurance Designations or desire to complete designations.
- Position requires direct communication with clients; therefore, strong oral and written communication skills, with a commitment to impeccable customer service are required.
- Confident, articulate, and professional speaking abilities and experience required.
- Must have familiarity and good working knowledge of various Microsoft software applications, Agency Management Systems, and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines. Has ability to juggle various projects at any given time.
- Understands the structure and content of insurance contracts and is aware of most personal insurance coverages.
- Ability to utilize all resources available to find answers for client inquiries and fully resolve any insurance related issues is required.
- Ability to work in a team environment that is constantly evolving.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 8am – 5pm CST.
