We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-to-be-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.


Job Description


Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Reports to Director of Sales but supports all Account Mangers on the team.
  • Strong business acumen and professionalism, including a high level of integrity and honesty required with proven success in working in a fast-paced, dynamic and evolving environment.
  • Associate will support the sales efforts around the launch of new initiatives or events that are brought to market. Associate will be expected to generate direct sales around these initiatives.
  • Prospect vigorously. Associate will spend much of their time cultivating new and neglected accounts to help generate leads for Account Managers. Responsible for helping to build a sales pipeline of existing and prospective clients for a range of integrated digital offerings content marketing, banner & print advertising, events & education sponsorship opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing support to Account Managers assisting with client communication, prospecting, contracting, and general customer service.
  • Work with Account Managers to help prepare presentation materials, proposals, contracts, and market information as necessary, communicating clearly with client partners.
  • Associate must be able to take a consultative approach to selling, along with value proposition understanding, motivation to cultivate, and desire to personally build and maintain deep relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Works with internal New Hope teams (Sales Operations, Content, Marketing Services, Sponsorship) to contribute to and utilize sales collateral, data and research as a key means for generating sales and interest across all products and platforms.
  • Works with service support teams Standards, Accounting, Client Services and Registration as client and Account Manager liaison.
  • Works with Marketing Service team and understands ROI metrics & analysis.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) in addition to experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Manages own expenses and time away from office, including trips to see accounts and other trade events.
  • Preference for local candidate, but open to remote working for the right candidate.


Qualifications

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a B2B sales team and proven ability to deliver and exceed revenue targets
  • 1-3 years’ experience in administrative support work and assistance
  • Experience managing multiple customers and maintaining high energy sales
  • Relationship management experience including maintaining customer connection and communication
  • Ability to identify and pursue cross and up selling opportunities
  • Ability to ask probing questions in order to proactively handle and respond to customer objections
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high level of passion and enthusiasm for the job
