Job description

Lewis Companies has been operating in the Baton Rouge Community for over thirty years. We are involved in sales, leasing, and homeowners association management. Our company is built on recognizing the needs of our clients first. We are looking for a licensed real estate agent to join our growing residential leasing department. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Speak with prospective tenants and conduct tours of available properties
• Ensure all available properties are on MLS, which includes taking and editing pictures. This also includes coordinating advertisements of available properties on various websites and respond to inquiries of a timely manner
• Ensure lock boxes and signs are installed at every available property
• Correspond with current tenants, owners, and vendors on status of units
• Correspond with prospective owners regarding management agreements
• Ensuring all records are accurate and current
• Ensure tenants are property moved out of management software and deposit accounting is accurate
• Assist maintenance department to ensure units are turned in a timely manner and ready for move in
• Assist with collections efforts, which includes filing evictions and attending eviction court
• Maintain accurate records for availability, maintenance, and move outs
• Maintain real estate license and continuing education
• Assist with various office duties including answering phones and accounting functions

Skills

• Experience in property management preferred
• Current real estate agent's license
• Customer service outlook
• Experience with Yardi software and Microsoft Office preferred
• Must be goal oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Baton Rouge, LA 70809: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Property leasing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Real Estate License (Required)
