Fossil Creek Tree Farm is a family-owned tree farm and garden center located in north Fort Worth on 8.5 beautiful acres with Fossil Creek running along the backside of the property. Our purpose is to serve our customers by inspiring, educating, and providing a unique shopping experience that helps them create a more beautiful environment.

Besides being a cherished “happy place” to both team members and customers, we are also known for our wide variety of trees, high quality shrubs, flowers and endless inspiration for creating beautiful spaces. Our team consists of passionate Gardening Coaches, many of which are certified by TNLA. You will also find a hidden gem called The Haven filled with indoor plants and nature inspired gifts and home decor that blur the lines between outdoors and in.

We are currently looking to add a Landscape Designer to join our growing team.

Come Grow With Us!! Our landscape division is growing and we are seeking a talented and creative Landscape Designer to join our team. As a Landscape Designer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our landscape customers from initial contact, through design and installation, to project completion and final walk through.

Job Description and Duties:

• Conduct initial onsite meeting with customer to review the project area and discuss their ideas
• Design functional outdoor spaces that impress the customer
• Prepare designs using a computerized design software
• Prepare proposals for the landscape designs
• Maintain communication and customer service throughout the design and installation process
• Run client meetings for design reviews
• Work with Nursery Managers to procure materials and plants to execute project installations with crew
• Communicate design requirements to our landscape crews
• Participate in team meetings for planning and scheduling
• Help installation crews with initial layout of design onsite, and periodic check ups to ensure work is completed to customers satisfaction.
• Perform final walk through with customer for completion paperwork and obtain final payment

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 2+ years related work experience
• Knowledge of native plant material, hardscape, drainage, irrigation, and water features
• Demonstrate high attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritize time sensitive assignments, work under pressure, and still maintain good composure
• Creative and Flexible
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Team player
• Experience with Proscapes, Sketchup, Dynascape or other landscape design drawing software
• Comfortable selling.

Compensation and benefits:

Health Insurance

Competitive base pay plus commission

48 hours PTO awarded after 1 year and each year after. 80 hours PTO awarded after 5 years

3 paid holidays (July 4th, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving Day)

Closed with Holiday Pay for the week between Christmas and New Year's. This schedule changes every year, but is the equivalent of 5-6 paid days depending on where in the week Christmas Day falls
