If you are a strategic selling professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in one of these Emerson hub locations (Houston, TX; Austin, TX; or Minneapolis, MN), you will lead the development and execution of strategies to grow the Sustainability (Hydrogen and CCUS) market segment for Emerson. You will closely collaborate with other World Areas and Business Units to develop account relationships across the Sustainability (Hydrogen and CCUS) market segment, establish OEM and Technology Licensors collaboration programs.
As the Director of Global Strategic Sustainability Sales, YOU WILL:
- Lead the process of developing a clear and appealing vision of what the customer-supplier alliance can be. Framing differentiated solutions.
- Strategize ways of strengthening the relationship, increase loyalty, increase market participation that have confirmed and relevant value for the SUSTAINABILITY (Hydrogen and CCUS) accounts and for Emerson.
- Ensure the required partnerships with the selected OEMs & licensors in the new sustainability segments pilots and flagship projects needed to position Emerson as a key player on Sustainability market.
- Create and drive the strategy to strengthen the relationship, increase loyalty and market participation with the selected OEMs and Technology developers in the Hydrogen and CCUS. Oversee the development of sales strategy having either direct or indirect involvement throughout the project pursuit lifecycle including sales pursuit, proposal generation/submittal, and contract negotiation.
- Actively drive the inclusion and integration of Business Units, Emerson Programs and new Acquisitions into sustainability (Hydrogen and CCUS) projects.
- Use value messaging and targeted solution development on projects that cross international boundaries to drive an early preference for Emerson on global projects and prevent lock out specifications driven by our competition.
- Coordinate and educate the SME community on best practices within the sustainability and decarbonization space.
WHO YOU ARE:
You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You readily distinguish between what’s relevant and what’s unimportant to make sense of complex situations. You formulate a clear strategy and map aggressive steps that will accelerate the organization towards its goals. You are the first to spot possible future policies, practices, and trends in the organization, with the competition and in the marketplace. You use knowledge of the organizational culture to achieve objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- A minimum of 8-10 years sales leadership experience in the industry
- University degree required – Engineering, Business or related degree
- Demonstrated Business Acumen and strong Drive for results
- Experienced in managing and directing “virtual” teams, with proven experience in directing and developing effective teams, and compelling vision for the team
- Ability to maneuver through the Emerson organization getting things done on behalf of the customer
- Strong presentation/communication skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can effectively work with all levels of a global workforce
