Las Vegas-based Gypsum supplier to the Central Valley of California is in search of a Sales Leader based in the California Central Valley for sales of its locally-produced product. The role will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with brokers and end-users in the area and must be willing to travel to the Central Valley to meet with current and prospective customers regularly. The candidate should be very familiar with the sale of soil additives used and their applications in the farming industry, and/or be willing to research extensively until well-versed in the subject. Seeking an individual with extensive contact lists or the ability to develop new relationships quickly and efficiently.
This position will directly report to the CEO, CFO, and other executive positions to design, strategize, and execute while providing reporting of results.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify areas of opportunity and alternative consumer basis
- Independently prepare and develop recommendations and suggestions for sales strategies and customer growth
- Prospect, develop, and secure new customer business
- Travel to and meet with potential customers on a weekly basis
- Priority focus on growth with optimized overall account profitability
- Prepare financial reporting by customer, product, month, and on an ad hoc basis
- Build, manage, and develop the sales staff within regional locations
- Develop compensation structure for sales agents
- Manage and assign the sale staff to maximize sales and minimize internal competition
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Three or more years experience in outside sales in business to business environment or a related field in an associated industry
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
