Liaison between the branch, outside sales team and roofing contractors; provides customer service to contractors in terms of product knowledge, price quoting, and delivery. follows up on all bid projects, keeping sales team members aware of status; uses expert application, installation and product knowledge to up-sell as appropriate; maintains and conveys all relevant competitive sales knowledge directly to manager and outside sales team; maintains a consistent call schedule and prospects new accounts to determine sales opportunities; contacts potential customers and zero account customers to initiate sales process; advises sales managers of pertinent credit situations and other sales/account information needed; balances end of day sales reconciliation; and provide assistance with any and all customer concerns including billing issues.

Qualifications:

• HS diploma, college degree preferred
• Previous construction materials sales experience preferably in commercial roofing (EPDM, TPO and PVC commercial roofing systems as well as metal roofing systems) highly desired but will consider other materials sales experience such as electrical, plumbing, concrete, windows, doors, etc.)
• Completion of a sales/customer service trainee program a strong plus
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, Outlook and the internet
• Knowledge of AS400 system highly desired
• Strong communication skills and customer service focus
• Must be enthusiastic, have positive attitude, be a team player
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, possess excellent organizational skills, and be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
• Will need to be motivated by a competitive industry and be results-oriented.
• Knowledge of HVAC is a strong plus
