Responsibilities
The Strategic Account Manager is the account owner responsible for the penetration and retention of in-force commercial accounts. This includes serving as the key liaison between the customer, broker, carrier and the KelseyCare Account Administration team, trending/monitoring of service issue resolution, and education for the customer and their employees. The Strategic Account Manager will develop and maintain relationships with carrier partners, executive management, and key personnel at the health plans in support of Kelsey ACO Health Plan account acquisition, retention and renewals. The Strategic Account Manager will play a lead role in annual plan review, retention and renewal of key cases. The Strategic Account Manager will take steps to advance relationships at identified Kelsey ACO Health Plan partners to achieve increased market share of in-force cases. The Strategic Account Manager will support Health Plan sales team members in the RFP process and work on implementation of cases in partnership with KelseyCare Operations Account Management on assigned groups. The role will have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of a strategic account-based plan for assigned cases to maintain persistency and increase membership. The Strategic Account Manager will generally handle a mix of large to jumbo cases, approximately 35 accounts.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Required Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in account management in the health insurance industry. Previous experience demonstrating strong project management skills and the ability to work with employers, consultants, and brokers. Detailed knowledge of the RFP process, sales planning, and execution processes. Successful experience in working at a health plan, consulting firm or in a similar industry focusing on health plan carrier relationships or employer relationships.

Pay: $101,995.00 - $121,994.00 per year
