COMPANY OVERVIEW: Forte Products is a growing 40-year-old plastics and fiberglass manufacturer headquartered in Kansas City, MO; with plants in Kansas and Missouri. We offer our customers a range of processes including injection molding, vacuum forming, rotational molding, CNC finishing and open & closed-mold fiberglass fabrication. It is this range of capability that allows us to serve a variety of industries – convenience stores, recreational vehicles & boats, waste management, lawn care, agriculture, architectural lighting and airlines to name a few. Our customers work with us for custom-designed parts and as such we find ourselves as extensions of their product development and engineering teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and grow existing customers
- Identify and develop new customers (20% of the role)
- Ability to generally discuss/identify products Forte could manufacture
- Effectively communicate customer needs to all applicable departments - engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, distribution, finance, management
- Provide customer reports and updates on a regular basis
- Travel to customer locations and manufacturing plants as necessary
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3-5 years selling to and manufacturing multiple accounts
- Develop a base understanding of all manufacturing processess the company offers
- Experience in industrial sales, OEM sales, and/or plastics and fiberglass a plus
- Ability and willingness to travel as required. Overnights to be expected.
- Degree in plastics or related field a plus
- Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams proficiency
COMPENSATION:
- Starting Salary $100,000 + Bonus
- Salary Commensurate with Experience
