DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

Assists the company with strategy and development of niche markets.

The Business Development Specialist will report directly to the CEO and CFO.

Accountable for leading targeted growth initiatives, modality development, new business development and development of Business Development teams in a specific market.

Works effectively with her/his team in developing a highly professional and productive team that represents Texas Regional Physicians well in the market.

Supports a market specific Business Development team as it pertains to business development, marketing, services offered, physician relations, attorney relations and community outreach.

Generates excitement about Texas Regional Physicians and strives for excellence. Improvises when things do not go as planned. Demonstrates focus amid ambiguity. Provides feedback to others in a productive, non-judgmental manner. Earns respect from others and has credibility and vision.

Consistently meets with internal and external stakeholders to develop relationships that lead to new business for Texas Regional Physicians.

Ensures team documents business meetings and discussions in a timely manner.

Exhibits a high degree of effective communication and diplomatic skills when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

Inspires team accountability for bringing timely resolution to issues as identified related to service, operations, scheduling, and other barriers to business.

Manages and prioritizes multiple tasks and regularly reevaluates priorities according to business needs.

Researches, analyzes and monitors assigned market(s) to identify potential new business or improve current service offerings.

Participates in and/or coordinates on and off property meetings and events as needed.

Maintains cooperative working relationships with all necessary departments to ensure budgeted sales goals are achieved and holds team accountable for meeting those goals.

Collaborates with the company to develop a creative plan to generate volume from key strategic initiatives and/or care pathways.

Develops comprehensive market sales presentations for the CEO and CFO.

Ensures team provides customers with the highest standard of customer service through timely follow up contact and consultation after the sale to protect and grow market share.

Maintains a thorough working knowledge of all services offered by Texas Regional Physicians and awareness of the pricing, services, and strategy of competitors in the market.

Collaborates with market clinical and operations teams to identify areas of opportunity and capacity.

Interacts directly with large referring accounts to promote services and tools provided by Texas Regional Physicians.

Establishes and maintains good relationships with clients, networking groups, professional organizations, and the community to develop new business.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Ability to comfortably speak with physicians, attorneys, and leadership at key accounts.

Ability to hold team accountable for asking for business/volume from new and existing customers.

Ability to effectively communicate with and influence co-workers and team.

Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and efficiency.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent listening, verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.

Ability to professionally handle exposure to confidential/sensitive information.

Possess excellent analytical skills.

Ability to keep a professional, mature, calm demeanor in any given situation or environment.

Strong work ethic, including punctuality and reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.

2 years of experience in Business Development, Marketing or Sales in a Healthcare environment.

Ability to listen, interact and communicate verbally & in writing with all levels or the organization; Computer skills required, analytical skills, ability to work independently and interdependently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
