Summary/Objective: Associate is responsible for assisting salespeople in their customer service activities.
Essential Functions:
  • Creating estimates from quotations provided by the salesperson
  • Sourcing product needed to fulfill job requirements
  • Taking customer and vendor phone calls and responding quickly and efficiently
  • Accurate invoicing of material and ensuring that AR customers receive their monthly invoices timely
  • Functions as an accounts receivable person and assist in timely customer collections
  • Some store maintenance responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables and standardized situations
  • Computer Skills: POS System, Inventory System, Human Resources System, Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet and Internet Software
  • Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment: This position can involve sitting for long periods of time. May require working in a highly precarious place and near moving mechanical parts. The position may be exposed to vibrations, airborne particles or toxic chemicals.
Physical Demands: This position involves frequently sitting, use of hands, reaching, talking, listening and writing and may require standing and walking. Periodically lifts up to 30 pounds, stoops, and crouches. Rarely climb, balance, and crawl.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a Full-Time position. Hours of work depends on hours of operations, willing to work 40+ hours per week.
Travel: This position does not require any travel.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year experience of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ months related work experience and/or training a plus
  • Knowledge of carpentry or experience with wood products a plus
Grooming/Uniform:
  • It is an expectation the associate in this role is neatly groomed with good hygiene
  • A uniform is required, which includes an 84 Lumber shirt, pants, boots, and any other PPE's as requested
Pay:
$18 per hour

Schedule: Typically falls between 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday. You will work a minimum of 40 hours. However, hours may vary depending on location/store.
