Landscape Sales Representative/Designer

Graham Landscape and Design is a high-end residential and commercial landscape design, build, irrigation, and maintenance company that has served the greater Eugene Area since 2010. At Graham Landscape, our goal is to provide a level of service that exceeds our customers’ expectations.

We are currently looking to add a highly motivated and experienced salesperson to our existing staff. The ideal candidate should have experience in landscaping and irrigation, construction with a landscape background, or horticulture and gardening. The Landscape Sales Representative/Designer works to generate new business and provide support to repeat customers with a focus on high end residential and commercial landscape customers. Primarily selling installations to residential and commercial accounts, as well as responsible for generating new commercial recurring maintenance clientele. Occasionally will be asked to assist in residential maintenance sales.

A valid driver’s license and authorization to work in the United States is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospective targets that match company strengths.
  • Develop and implement a Marketing plan and activities to generate sales leads.
  • Accepts and acts promptly on all sales leads assigned (within 12 hours).
  • Review sales tracking sheet as required by Sales Manager. Keep up to date pipeline in CRM as well as a daily activity log.
  • Meets prospects on-site or at the company's office to qualify them as potential clients, determine their needs and record those needs for use by the design department (client questionnaire).
  • Establishes client budget.
  • Measures properties for bidding.
  • Performs blueprint takeoffs for bidding.
  • Prepares quotes for implementation of all portions of the landscape by using company estimating system.
  • Measures and photographs of new properties, proposal generation, and marketing purposes. Turns quotes around in 24 hours to 1 week.
  • Obtains approval of quotes from Sales manager and opinion from the operations department prior to client presentation.
  • Presents quotes to clients, closes and manages sale.
  • Communicates with the team, the new client's needs and requests and how to provide them with the services they want in relation to their budget.
  • Provides all appropriate documents to Account Manager and Lead assigned to the job to facilitate the job.
  • Communicates with the client as necessary before, during, and after the job starts. Writes up punch list items, service orders, change orders, and other maintenance recommendations.
  • Call clients on a regular basis at appropriate intervals to verify satisfaction. Addresses any client concerns promptly. Documents all client's requests, changes, and comments using the phone, mail, or e-mail.
  • Assist Account Managers to manage and negotiate change orders and gets the necessary paperwork signed.
  • Communicates with the accounting department regarding billing and collection on all assigned contracts.
  • Meet weekly with management on successes and improvement of measurements.
  • Estimates accurate costs for the design and execution of the entire job.
  • Develop customer landscaping proposals/contracts. Obtains proper signatures.
  • Coordinates customer installation with other Graham Landscaping personnel.
  • Assists in managing crew members on the job site as needed
  • Takes proactive measures to ensure job stays on schedule and completes within budget meeting Graham Landscaping standards.
  • Conducts final job inspection (walk thru) with job manager first, then with customer.
  • Submits accurate, completed, final job paperwork to the office within 1 business day of job completion. (including all receipts for materials purchased)
  • Ensures that all detailed customer job details including labor hours, equipment and materials used on each job are properly recorded.
  • Takes responsibility for collecting payments from customers both at job initiation (deposit) and job completion.
  • Provides a weekly sales activity report and communicates all positive and negative feedback to management.
  • Demonstrates commitment to professionalism, integrity, and sound judgment in business transactions.
  • Delivers excellent consistent customer service and continually exhibits strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Improves knowledge, education, & industry awareness.
  • Meet with existing accounts and develop long term partnerships
  • Develop sales opportunities within the accounts for additional work and new opportunities
  • Site inspections for each property and review work to be completed
  • Meet with customers on a routine basis to understand their needs and deal with issues
  • Work with customers to resolve any issues which may arise.

Job Requirements:

  • Previous landscaping and design experience preferred.
  • Knowledge in all phases of landscaping projects.
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving skills, and the ability to interface with internal and external customers.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills

Salary: $40,000- $50,000 base with bonus/commission. On Target Earnings $60,000+/year
