Company Overview
Pacific NW Properties is a local, family-owned commercial real estate property management, development, and investment company, wholly dedicated to providing high-quality, meticulously maintained properties to over 500 tenants. In short, we provide the space and support for our tenants so that they can run the businesses of their dreams. We own and manager over 3 million square feet of industrial business parks in the Portland Metro area.
Two important notes as it relates to other job postings on Indeed. First, we do not own or manage any residential properties — including residential homes, apartment complexes, condominiums, et cetera. Second, we manage our own properties and are not a third-party management company. Therefore, we maintain our properties to a high-standard with the goal of owning them for many years.
Position Description
In many ways, our commercial property managers are the heart and soul of our company. Property managers are the first point of contact for all of our tenants and handle many of the daily operations of a business park.
Responsibilities
- Serving as the property manager for a group of properties in our portfolio. For each property assigned to a property manager, this responsibility will include (but is not limited to):
- Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with our tenants through regular site visits, tenant meetings, and responding promptly to inquiries and work orders. Must be able to clarify issues, identify solutions, and communicate needs to staff and management and provide follow up, as necessary.
- Visiting properties on a regular basis to inspect the facilities and engage with tenants
- Receiving calls and serving as the first point-of-contact for all tenant, vendor, and emergency service calls related to facility management.
- Providing occasional after-hours emergency service
- Identifying, scheduling, and addressing the facility maintenance, repair, and replacement needs, including, but not limited to, parking lot sweeping, striping, snow removal, painting, landscaping, lighting, roof repairs, utilities, trash service, HVAC system service, and janitorial services.
- Facilitating our risk management by identifying and addressing potential issues relating to life safety and liability
- Negotiating and entering into ongoing service contracts with vendors for property maintenance services.
- Scheduling and maintaining proper records for annual testing and maintenance of fire alarm and backflow systems.
- Researching and developing new vendor relationships
- Coordinating and assisting in preparing vacancy spaces for marketability
- Coordinating and assisting in tenant improvements
- Conducting tenant move-ins and move-outs
- Reviewing and approving invoices related to a project
- Working closely with our leasing team to retain and renew tenants
- Reviewing prospective leases and lease modifications to address facility-related concerns
- Working closely with our accounting and administrative team to ensure prompt collections and insurance compliance

- Experience with Yardi preferred
Eligibility Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred
- Must be able to pass a background screening
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for visiting properties
- Must be able occasionally to climb ladders
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position will involve extensive time away from the office while attending to property matters. When not working in the field, this position will be required to work from our office.

- Active working role: standing, walking properties, driving, climbing roof ladders, administrative desk duties, and general property maintenance.

Hours
This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position with occasional after-hours work/calls. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break. This is not a remote work position.
Salary
Starting annualized salary for this position will be based upon skill set and experience within commercial real estate. Pacific NW Properties is family-owned and family-friendly.
