SUMMARY
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for revenue generation through effective relationship building and maintenance, working with customers to grow Cascade’s business, and strengthen our reputation in the market place. In this role, the ability to perform independently is critical, as well as having a passion for sales, relationship building, and a technical aptitude.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Working with the Regional Sales Manager, create the sales plan for a specific region of the U.S. This role is responsible for developing strong relationships to meet sales objectives and create customer satisfaction.
- Sales plans including revenue and growth expectations, business development tactics, visit-calendar, competitive intelligence, and business projections. Review plans quarterly and update as needed to achieve expectations.
- Work to solve customer problems to avoid issue escalation; address the immediate request as well as the root cause of the business challenge and suggest improvements if warranted.
- Create technical solutions for end user applications while explaining benefits to customer
- Creating and maintaining end user and dealer relationships utilizing end user application visits and dealer sales training on Cascade products and solutions.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of Cascade product offerings, services, pricing, processes, systems, and marketplace. Consistently demonstrate the ability to proactively share knowledge and best practices with sales management and colleagues.
- Demonstrate a desire to achieve excellence as a team member.
- Monitor customer and market dynamics to stay current on trends and competitive pressures. Proactively share this information to ensure Cascade remains a market leader.
JOB SCOPE
As a territory manager, this role will be responsible for the overall management and development of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming and Southern Nevada. There are no direct reports but collaboration with coworkers is important. The role requires energy and initiative to drive individual performance and sales for Cascade. The role works in partnership with other Territory Managers, as well as Marketing, Engineering, and Operations to achieve results.

- This role requires planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage concurrent tasks/deliverables in demanding situations; excellent follow-up skills.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office products, and other business systems and platforms such as JDE.
- Ability to travel extensively, primarily in the U.S., with limited but occasional international travel
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years sales experience, or an equivalent background to gain the knowledge and experience to successfully perform the role.
- Bachelor’s degree – advanced degree desired but not required.
- Sales experience specific to this industry desired (attachment experience including knowledge of the material handling business and product flow).
