Job Description
The Regional Sales Manager (Midwest Region) will work within the Public and Private Health Sectors to lead the development of relationships with various business partners at both the state and local government levels as well as within the varying industies of the private healthcare world. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers, located across your geographic region; in identifying, qualifying, and capturing relationship opportunities within Public Health programs as well as the Private Health sector. You and your team will provide a cruical service to our business partners by providing temporary and longterm staffing solutions for them. This will in turn allow them not only to increase their own productivity and revenue, but also ensure that they provide the highest standard of care to the patients which enter their facilites each day. In this role, you will be an instrumental part in fostering and maintaining our relationships with our healthcare partners in the public and private sectors, as you and your team will serve as the face of Jogan Health to our clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify new business opportunities within Healthcare.
- Perform market research to qualify new business opportunities, including analysis of customer budgets, capabilities required, current customer preferences, competitive environment assessments, and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.
- Coordinate and conduct meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices.
- Work with program and management teams in call plan development and execution, and provide detailed reports on follow up activities after plan execution.
- Serve as Capture Manager for selected opportunities, either all the way to award or in the early capture phase.
- Participate as required in the Jogan Health business development process, including pipeline/opportunities reviews, and proposal reviews.
- Support overall strategic planning and linking pursuits/capture activities which support the business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline.
- Interact routinely with various levels of management, functional leads, other staff, and customers.
- Brief business development status to senior management when material changes occur and as required by the Jogan Health’s business development process.
- Assist your team of Business Development Managers in generating leads, fostering relationships, and closing deals.
Required Qualifications:
- Healthcare and Staffing Sales Experience.
- Direct contracting with hospitals and healthcare facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of prior relevant experience in business development and / or capture management. Additional education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience should include supporting business development and capture efforts for Public Health agencies.
- Proven track record of successful business development at a variety of acquisition sizes.
- Demonstrated access to and relationships within the public and private sector, specifically within CDC and other Public Health customers and industry partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Strong leadership skills and able to develop, organize and execute significant BD activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans.
- Strong, respected relationships within the Public Health community
- Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision.
- The ability to operate at the senior level and influence, negotiate and close.
- Willing to do local and extended travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in leading Business Development teams.
- Strong, respected relationships within the CDC and healthcare community.
- Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision, establish solid working relationships with technical staff, division managers, and peers across Jogan Health.
- Self-starter and ability to manage time independently without direct supervision.
- The ability to operate at the senior level and influence, negotiate and close.
Salary/ Wage Range
$90,000-$110,000/year base salary with commission potential and growth opportunities within the Sales Department.
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
