JOB TITLE: Software Sales Administrator

STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: ATA Engineering, 13290 Evening Creek Drive South, San Diego, CA 92128

REPORTS TO: Director, Business Development

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

ATA Engineering, Inc., is a 100% employee-owned engineering consulting firm with headquarters in San Diego and regional offices in Los Angeles, Berkeley, Denver, Albuquerque, northern Virginia, and Huntsville, Alabama. As a rapidly growing high-technology firm, we are looking to fill our growing needs for software sales.

ATA Engineering provides test- and analysis-driven design for aerospace, defense, themed entertainment, robotics and controls, consumer products, and industrial and mining equipment. At ATA Engineering, the Software Sales Administrator generates revenue by building and maintaining client relationships through timely communication, accurate software sales information, quotes, processing orders, and continued customer support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SIEMENS SOFTWARE:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of Siemens channel sales and support as a partner with Siemens Digital Industries Software
• Maintain customer database and perform data entry as needed
• Create accurate and timely proposals for selling Siemens software
• Enter orders in the Siemens online system
• Request invoices for customer billing
• Follow-up on unpaid invoices

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ATA & OTHER SOFTWARE:

• Coordinate day-to-day operations of ATA and government owned software sales (such as ATA|Suite and SPIRITS) to customers, both domestic and international
• Maintain customer database and perform data entry as needed
• Distribute sales and marketing materials via appropriate channels
• Track leads and follow-up with customers via appropriate channels
• Create accurate and timely software proposals
• Distribute and administer software license codes
• Prepare reports for software sales management team
• Request invoices for customer billing
• Provide customer support
• Coordinate customer classes

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
• 3 years of sales experience preferred, ideally in engineering software
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Able to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time working on a computer
• Candidate must be a US person and eligible to access ITAR data

Salary Ranges (2023):

• Entry–Mid Career Level: $40,000–$90,000 per year
• Manager/Director Level: $75,000–$135,000 per year
