Full description of the position

Legion Brewing is a rapidly growing craft brewer with multiple locations in Charlotte, NC. Since opening our doors in 2015, the team here at Legion has worked hard to build an environment of what we call “campfire hospitality” for everyone who walks through our doors. And we make some pretty great beer.

We are looking for a creative leader to join the Legion team as Sales Rep. In this role, you will be tasked with growing sales, increasing brand presence, and strengthening relationships with retail partners in assigned territories. The Sales Rep will run a territory of assigned accounts and will partner with Legion distributor partners and their sales teams to drive distribution and sales, while also building affinity for the Legion brand for consumers, bar and store managers, and other key decision makers in the assigned territory.

Reports to: Area Sales Manager

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve monthly wholesale volume, distribution and selling activity goals as set by the Area Sales Manager (ASM).

· Establish and execute a routine call frequency in assigned on-premise and off-premise accounts.

· Partner with wholesaler teams to drive engagement and affinity with key accounts in assigned territory to meet rate of sale goals.

· Cultivate and strengthen the critical relationship between the company, retail decision makers and influencers, as well as our distributor partners in the assigned territory.

· Effectively communicate and execute sales, marketing, and merchandising initiatives with assigned retail accounts.

· Work with ASM and wholesale partners to resolve customer problems, capture opportunities, understand competitive activity in the market.

· Nurture relationships and drive volume growth in assigned key accounts (e.g., opportunity accounts) as designated by ASM, which may be outside of assigned territory.

· Leverage and maintain sales tracking and reporting tools, such as Lilypad and/or VIP

· Review weekly business reports and market intelligence with ASM.

· Maintain an excellent working relationship with fellow members of the team.

· Perform administrative duties in a timely manner (for weekly sales meetings).

· Attend special events, festivals, beer dinners & tastings as needed.

· Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times.

· Perform other business-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s Degree, Business or Marketing concentration is preferred.

· 3+ years’ experience in craft beer sales is desirable; preference will be given to those with beverage sales or consumer product goods sales experience.

· Must have proven computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Team and also must have reliable internet access from home.

· A results-driven, energetic, confident personality.

· Exemplary interpersonal, communication, organizational and project management skills.

· A valid state driver’s license is required and must be maintained throughout employment period with the company.

· Extensive local travel schedule and flexible work schedule will be required, with regular visits to bars, restaurants, other retailers and warehouses.

· Willing to work a flexible schedule including potential nights and weekends.
