Full description of the position

We are a busy ophthalmic practice looking to hire a full time optical sale associate. This candidate must be very detail oriented, a quick learner, have a great attitude, and computer skills.

Job functions include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting customers with frame and lens choices
• Entering orders into My Vision Express software
• Billing insurance
• Lab work (Edging lenses, adjusting and repairing eye wear)
• Keeping optical shop tidy and well stocked
• Answering a multi-line phone system
• Checking in orders and verifying prescriptions
• Communicating with customers about their orders
• Tracking and ordering contact lens inventory
• Assisting with frame inventory
• Assisting operations manager with daily needs

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Chattanooga, TN 37421: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Optical: 1 year (Preferred)
