Position Profile:

About the role (Remote - US)

Participates in the formulation of the long-term care (LTC) strategy for BU’s products. Collaborates cross-functionally to develop the resources and tools necessary to successfully educate institutional account stakeholders on cannabinoid science and our products. Leads the LTC account executive team to articulate the vision and execute on the strategy with customers. Ensure organizational understanding and alignment on broader institutional and LTC strategy and goals.


Responsibilities:


  • Leads annual strategic planning for the LTC market segment. Contributes to the development of Business Unit overall business strategy, plans, annual budgets and business reviews.
  • Interprets and translates scientific clinical data into commercial implications for the LTC business.
  • Works with Sales leadership to support physician prescribing in the institutional setting with in-services and other staff education on our products, distribution, administration and cannabinoid science.
  • Interfaces with Product Development to develop new products or enhance existing products or product lines. May act as a technical advisor for specific products.
  • Monitors competitive activity and identifies customer needs.
  • Interfaces with Medical Affairs to ensure coordination and alignment with KOLs and medical education activities in the institutional segment.
  • Oversees LTC market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies unique customer needs in the market.
  • Responsible for in-depth analytics and ROI analysis through partnering with commercial analytics team to support strategy adjustment recommendations as appropriate.
  • Hires, develops and manages a team of LTC Account Executives to deliver the field support within the LTC pharmacy, institutional facilities and the administrative offices of institutions.
  • Develops strong external relationships with ASCP, AMDA, DDNA and other physician and care giver organizations that impact the institutional market.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to develop appropriate tools and resources for conversations with customer groups.
  • Ensures department's adherence to company policies and quality system requirements, as well as other legal, compliance and regulatory directives.

Required Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, health care, business administration or related field.
  • Relevant applicable job experience within the LTC and/or institutional market.
  • A minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical experience in various roles.
  • Experience leading a team within the Pharmaceutical industry required.
  • Previous pharmaceutical sales experience highly desired.
  • Proven success in developing and executing strategy in the LTC market.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with Management, Business Partners, and other stakeholders regarding matters of significance to the organization.
  • Ability to create and communicate a clear vision among team members, and effectively align resources and activities to achieve functional area and/or organizational goals.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organizational environment.
  • Demonstrated success building organizations and high-performance teams.
  • Demonstrated analytical abilities and proficient planning and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal, written, and presentation form.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive. For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $208,000-$273,000. The exact base pay offered for this role will depend on various factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
