POSITION SUMMARY
This position’s main task is to sell to current and potential clients as well as maintain and develop good relationship with them. Promotes the company’s Hispanic branded meats and cheeses at the customer’s locations. Completes sales orders and communicates order requirements using company pricing guidelines and defined delivery schedules. Follows up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Process orders in person and over the phone in order to sell targeted products
- Completes the order and scheduling process using a tablet to ensure order is placed properly and customer commitments are communicated
- Establishes and maintains relationships with store personnel to meet both general and company in-store objectives
- Obtains proper authorization and signatures from customers for promotional agreements
- Checks in-store displays for effectiveness to ensure pricing matches current promotions
- Checks in-store expiration dates to ensure product shelf-life
- Maintains store shelf standards and inventory, through various merchandising strategies, including rotation of products
- Communicates with the customer to ensure product flow and service and resolves problems quickly
- Coordinates and sets up advertising and in-store promotions under direction of Market Sales Manager
- Provides feedback to Sales Management regarding quality of service and delivery
- Immediately reports accidents or injuries to management
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Three (3) years of sales experience
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
License/Certifications
- Current and valid Driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications
- Food products experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITITES (KSA’s)
- Personal vehicle which meets company standards for licensing and insurance
- MVR which meets Sigma driving standards with review by Talent & Culture
ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Able to sit and drive for a full shift of at least 8 hours.
- Able to stand/walk for at least 4 hours
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
