Based in Chattanooga, TN, our company has additional facilities in Chicago, IL; Yankton, SD; Lincoln, NE; Louisville, KY; Franklin, IN; Nashville, TN; Rock Hill, SC; and Mocksville, NC, and is expanding aggressively into the Heartland with plans to open facilities and acquire related businesses in the Midwest, Southeast and Southwest United States.

The Position

Stock’d Supply is seeking a qualified, experienced leader to manage our Chattanooga, TN facility with managerial capability to execute against a business plan. Reporting directly to the company CEO, this full-time position will be instrumental in continuing our growth and profitability strategies for the Chattanooga, TN location and surrounding areas.

Requirements:

The Branch Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the branch business including but not limited to:

  • Employee Management
  • Branch P&L Review & Management
  • Sales Oversight
  • Customer Growth, Support, and Retention
  • VMI Support
  • All warehousing functions including fulfillment, receiving, inventory management, etc.
  • Collaborating with the strategic sales team on business development and new business opportunities and implementations.
  • Working with the strategic sourcing team to help provide continuous flow of goods in and out of the facility.
  • Facility upkeep and maintenance

The Person

It is preferable for the candidate to come from either the fastener or value-added industrial distribution industries. The ideal candidate is currently in a managerial position or on a career path with demonstrated success towards a position at this level. Additionally, the final candidate must possess the following skill sets and experience:

  • Effective communicator who has demonstrated the ability to work with multiple departments and a diverse employee base to identify/implement decisions that drive profitability and deliver operational and financial efficiencies at both the branch level as well as company-wide.
  • A strategic/analytical thinker who draws on previous experience as well as data to provide unique ideas to problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Self-driven, extremely organized, and detail-oriented individual who can operate in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while still meeting timelines with minimal oversight.
  • Follows up as necessary to drive continuous change and implementation and see projects through to completion.
  • Understands employees and knows how to manage individuals as well as groups to maximize departmental and branch efficiencies.
  • Never satisfied and continuously learning and wanting to improve.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying, implementing, and documenting repeatable, structured processes that minimize errors, drive efficiencies, and reduce training time for new employees.

Preferred Experience & Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Business Management
  • 10 years of experience in industrial distribution with focus on fasteners & MRO products

  • Expert in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Additional knowledge in Microsoft Access a plus
