Full description of the position
As the Automated Solutions Business Development Manager, you identify, create and lead cross-selling opportunities between several internal KION business units, external dealer networks and third-party integrators. You ensure the creation, processing and nurturing of high-quality leads and identify weaknesses in the process. You take responsibility for the continuous improvement of the process and the training level of all involved parties.
What we offer:
- Identifying, creating, and leading cross selling opportunities between KION North America / Linde (forklift oriented) and Dematic North America (stationary warehouse automation oriented)
- Reporting into the Global KION synergy workstreams covering KION companies Linde, Dematic and STILL
- Internal point of contact for sales and dealer network regarding Dematic warehouse automation opportunities:
- Training and educating the sales channels on portfolio and engagement models
- Filtering and qualifying opportunities
- Engaging with dealer and Dematic for follow up on high quality leads
- Engaging with the sales engineering teams for mixed solutions, incorporating both internal mobile automation and Dematic warehouse automation
- Identify, qualify and develop distributor channels. Create framework agreements and setup support structure for sales and technical support, incl. Go-to-market, SLA, related support costs, etc.

Qualifications:
- Experience in the field of Material Handling Equipment and intralogistics automation, preferably with systems like AS/RS, Shuttle Systems, Convey & Sort, etc.
- Experience in Business Development and setting up frameworks and cooperation models
- Technical and conceptual expertise for stationary automation, specifically systems Dematic is offering
- Excellent industry networking skills
- Capable and comfortable to present and discuss strategic topics in upper management circles
- Team player, able to effectively communicate with multiple KION internal stakeholders and to leverage dealers for successful roll-out
- Experience and existing network within top player of warehouse automation desirable
- Market and industry knowledge and association network desirable
- Understanding of common IT and software platforms used in warehousing environments
- Understanding of logistical process details
- Business oriented with attention to sustainable solutions and profitability
- Excellent communication skills for presentations and training
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
- Business fluent in written and spoken English. German and/or Spanish is a plus
- Proficient handling of MS Office
Education:
- MBA or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanics/Electronics, Engineering or related field, preferably in the field of automation/robotics/logistics
