About us

Greener Things is searching for a cannabis aficionado, who is also skilled in sales, and customer service, primarily for store closing shifts.

We specialize in CBD and THC (hemp derived) products. We are not currently a medical marijuana dispensary, however that is the vibe here. We are positioning ourselves to carry adult use cannabis products, once permitting is available in Virginia.

Sales staff must be able to confidently and comfortably engage with all types of people. Having a background in retail, sales, or recommending specialty products is highly desirable. POSITION:

• Cannabis Sales Associate (Sales, Customer Service, Cannabis Consultant, and Processor)

DUTIES:

• Provide excellent cannabis product recommendations to customers on a consistent basis.
• Maintain a clean and inviting retail atmosphere in compliance to Virginia State cannabis regulations.
• Use Point of Sale to process transactions in the store, online, and over the phone.
• Educate certain customers about the potential effects of different varieties, and product types, and how those different effects may benefit the customer, depending on their situation.
• Work well in a team setting or independently, to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for co-workers and customers.
• Be responsive to emails, and communication from other staff members.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times while on duty.
• Light data entry. Must have basic understanding of Word Processing and Spreadsheet applications. Must be willing to share and access certain work related files in Google Drive.
• REPRESENT the Greener Things brand and our values; foster a wellness-for-all culture of respect.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• EXCELLENT interpersonal and customer service skills; the ability to anticipate and meet the needs of customers and colleagues.
• 1+ years of retail, or sales experience.
• Excellent time-management skills and the ability to perform required duties, mistake-free, on-time, with minimal supervision.
• Motivated: Finds things to do to be productive during downtime without being prompted.
• The ability to keep calm under pressure while maintaining a high level of organization, patience, and flexibility.
• Excellent telephone manner and data entry skills.
• The ability to respond and adapt to changes or unexpected events as needed.
• Perseverance, and a positivity. Ready to face challenges with the confidence to succeed.
• A desire to be a part of a greater movement, and grow one’s self with our organization.
• Experience in the cannabis industry is HIGHLY desirable (see what we did there ;) but not required-- the passion and dedication to learning is!

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 21 years of age with valid state ID
• Clean criminal record

• Some weekend availabilty required as well.
