POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales and Design Associate is a pivotal role in our organization, and will be the first touch and primary face of the company to our clients. THIS ROLE WILL DESIGN AND BID LANDSCAPE PACKAGES AS WELL AS POOLS. This role will act as a client’s designer and salesperson, to walk them from initial contact, through the design phase, pricing, and ultimately into the start of construction. The Sales and Design Associate is the first and largest impression to the client, and is responsible to keep the pipeline full for the entire company to continue to transform spaces and deliver the value of community.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

• Present comprehensive landscape/fence designs with accompanying cost breakdown to potential clients
• Present comprehensive pool/spa/decking designs with accompanying cost breakdown to potential clients
• Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
• Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
• Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
• Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
• Continuously improve through feedback

KEY COMPETENCIES

Proven work experience as a sales representative

• Knowledge of plant material, landscape design, and regional planting practices
• Familiarity with Buildertrend and Pool Studio a major plus
• Highly motivated and target driven
• Excellent selling and communication skills
• Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
• Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the client's needs
• Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
• BS/BA degree or equivalent
• Experience successfully maintaining a positive attitude while working in a team environment with competing priorities
• Strong computer skills and highly proficient in MS Office Suite, Windows, Google Suite

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• GED or High School Diploma required; BS in Business (Preferred)
• Minimum 2yrs professional experience (Required)
• Current State Driver’s License & Clean Driving Record (Required)
• Experience working with team members across multiple functional roles (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking
• Ability to work in worksite environments exposed to excessive noise, outdoor environments exposed to cold or heat weather
• Must be able to lift at least 25lbs
