Full description of the position

ELITE Transit Solutions is looking for an outgoing, empathetic and intuitive leader to supervise the Charlotte Carrier Sales team.


Shift is Monday - Friday 0[please apply online] EST ; This is an in-office role.


ABOUT THE ROLE:

The primary function of a Carrier Sales Supervisor at ELITE is to assist the Carrier Sales Manager in leading and developing a team(s) of Carrier Sales Representatives, implement and monitor their key performance indicators and monitor load coverage in their assigned territory within the region and ensure the highest levels of service using our technology-driven processes. Additionally, a CSS will support and monitor their teams’ efforts in developing, maintaining, and growing their carrier relationships in their assigned region to ensure our capacity is growing. You will be responsible for controlling the costs spent in your area through the setting of target payment rates and holding your team accountable to those rates. The work of a CSS is critical to reinforcing the brand promise of ELITE — to provide every client, big or small, with industry-leading on-time delivery (OTD) rates and best-in-class customer service levels at competitive prices.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead and develop 1-2 teams of 4-8 carrier sales representatives (CSR).
  • Assign a coverage plan within your territory to ensure all loads are being actively worked.
  • Act as the cost expert for your assigned territory and set all target pays within that area.
  • Manage phone calls/emails as assigned per day, communicating details effectively with internal and external customers and management.
  • Be responsible for monitoring your teams assigned KPI’s based on the daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly targets, ensuring your team understands them and are hitting them as well.
  • Actively work with and develop the CSRs on your team to further their individual growth
  • Resolve problems for customers and carriers using critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in and contribute professionally to weekly team/company meetings.
  • Uphold ELITE’s technology initiatives.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Desire to a leader in a fast-paced, high energy office environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking and leadership skills to include the ability to task manage and delegate.
  • Strong negotiating and conflict resolution skills.
  • 3-4 years of logistics industry, 3PL, or brokerage related sales experience is preferred.
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university is preferred.
