Sales Engineer (Selling to DoD programs exp. req.) Description

Our client in the electronics manufacturing industry is looking for a Sales Engineer to add to their team in Walpole, MA. Reporting to the SVP-Sales, you will be responsible for the development and sale of equipment within Government and Commercial markets. You will be working closely with Sales and Marketing to convert new and existing business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be familiar with power electronics and have sales experience in the military and industrial sectors. To be successful in the role, you must be able to establish and maintain an open, professional, and efficient means of communication with all customers, both internal and external. Sales Engineer (Selling to DoD programs exp. req.) Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities from cold and warm leads, trade shows, and industry networking
• Achieve acceptable gross margin levels
• Learn and meet client needs, develop strong customer relationships
• Collaborate cross-functionally and understand technical information
• Work with the customer from quote to close
• Train customer on pre-installed equipment
• Support RMA, equipment issues, new products, and other teams as needed

Sales Engineer (Selling to DoD programs exp. req.) Qualifications

• BS in the Engineering field required

o Military Veteran encouraged in lieu of degree

• 1+ years of technical sales required
• Selling to military, government or DoD programs experience required
• Working knowledge of ERP and CRM software required
• Ability to drive 5 hour radius (client meeting or tradeshow attendance) required
