The Antlers, A Wyndham Hotel is looking for a hospitality minded Sales Manager to join our team!

Join the only full service hotel located in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado and enjoy competitive pay and benefits!

Job Summary

The position is accountable for handling all LNR, CNR and IBT accounts, and corporate group market for property.

Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Creates opportunities to grow the account base through customer interactions.

Job Duties

  • Targets accounts, markets, or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
  • Responds to and manages larger and more complex incoming opportunities for the property.
  • Identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
  • Focuses efforts on accounts with significant potential sales revenue.
  • Develops effective sales plans and actions. .
  • Maximizes revenue by upselling packages.
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Handles complex business with significant revenue potential as well as significant customer expectations. Building Successful Relationships
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc.
  • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.
  • Provides excellent customer sales service in order to grow share of the account.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities
  • Utilizes intranet for resources, templates, and information. • Participates in site visits.
  • Develops and facilitate execution of contracts as required.
  • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

Qualifications

· Five years of sales experience in Hospitality.

· Education in Hospitality Management, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field, preferred.

· Knowledge of Opera PMS, Delphi, Office Suite, Outlook, and Market Vision systems, preferred.

· Self-starting and outgoing personality with a pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail.

· Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests and visitors.

Physical Environment

The position performs indoors.

The position constantly requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; a stationary stance for long periods of time and moving about behind a reception desk; and the operation of computers and office equipment.

The position frequently requires to move items up to 25 lbs.

The position occasionally requires to move items up to 50 lbs.

The position rarely requires to perform in a stooping, kneeling, crouching or, crawling position.

-The hotel operates seven days per week, twenty four hours per day; schedules are reflective of business needs and employees may be requested to be available to work on days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
