Full description of the position

Henry Company, the newest addition to the Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies brands, has an exciting opportunity for a Territory Manager to join the team in the San Diego, CA market. We are are looking for a bright, hard-working and enthusiastic territory manager to promote our successful line of products throughout the Greater San Diego-Dessert-OC area. Territory managers are our front-line connection with retailers and consumers with responsibility for placement and promotion of the Henry product line at our big box retailers. This position will be based out of the manager’s home, with moderate travel throughout the territory.

  • Responsible for the 40+ Home Depot stores in the Greater San Diego- Dessert- OC area
  • Frequent visits to retail locations (average of 4-6 retail visits each weekday and at least 2 Saturday demos a month), plus calling on local commercial building projects
  • Company car and detailed training on Henry products provided

Essential Duties

  • Train store associates on Henry products, including hands-on use and seasonal projects
  • Secure and build endcaps, bulkstacks and wingstacks to promote seasonal products
  • Build solid working relationships with key managers and employees at each retail location
  • Promote and sell products to contractors in the aisles and at pro desks, working with pro desks to prospect and close contractor/building owner and property manager sales
  • Educate and promote products to consumers, including 2 hands-on Saturday demonstrations monthly and explaining the benefits of project completion and use of premium products
  • Cross-merchandise products throughout the stores
  • Ensure product aisle is set to plan, maintaining product cans and ensuring that products are downstocked, shelves are full and point-of-purchase material is properly displayed
  • Scheduling and presenting product demonstrations either in-aisle or in front of the store
