Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a skilled professional Customer Account Manager with a solid understanding of Outsource Billing, reimbursements, and collections process along with a commitment for superb customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and interpreting metrics to identify the necessary trends to contribute to the customer’s success and avoid any negative impact.
You will serve as subject matter expert within your team and customer base, responsible for leadership, guidance (external and internal) and training.
- Executive Presence. Not only will you present to, and become confidant for, the executives at our clients, you will act as their advocate internally and act as an ambassador for XIFIN externally
- Project Management. You’ll be asked to keep track of key initiatives in the billing process for our clients. You’ll work with your internal counterparts to insure excellent performance
- Financial and Analytical Skills. You’ll need to be comfortable sifting through data to understand not just to present KPIs, but to understand the drivers and corrective actions to increase them
- Healthcare RCM process knowledge. While you won’t be directly responsible for managing the billing process, you will be accountable and need to understand the revenue cycle – particularly how the data becomes actionable information.
To be successful in this role, you must be analytical and a multi-tasker, with the ability to problem solve effectively and promptly. In addition, you must be self-motivated, a self-starter, and possess that "can do, scrappy" attitude. This role requires external customer and internal interaction where effective communication is essential.
How much experience are we looking for?
You may be hired as an Associate Customer Account Manager or Customer Account Manager, or Sr. Customer Account Manager based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.
What does this position pay?
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location.
The expected range for this role is $70,00 to $120,000, annualized base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
What will you do?
- Maintain and expand the relationships between XIFIN customers in support of the RCM, managing all aspects of the relationship with an eye toward value-add in the strategic relationship with our partners
- Analyze, review, and present customer financial packages and AR Metrics, create and coordinate financial reports that highlight key metrics for client profitability/billing status
- Responsible for providing input and guidance based on level of expertise of subject matter to customers and internal departments related to denials, payor regulations and guidelines etc.
- Protect patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information to comply with HIPAA and privacy requirements
- Direct Billing & Collections staff and their processes that directly and positively impact your assigned customers’ Accounts Receivable and financial performance
- Responsible for identifying trends that both impact the financial health of the customer in a positive and negative manor and to communicate back to the customer what has caused this trend
- Participate in customer implementation to provide feedback on best practices, system efficiencies etc.
What education and experience do you need?
A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:
- B.A. in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field required, MBA preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- 2-7 years of experience preferred in a medical claims/billing environment involving payor regulations pertaining primarily to hospitals, pathology, and laboratory
- Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- High level MS Excel
- Coding knowledge and exposure a plus pertaining to the medical industry
Must be available to travel domestically up to 15% of the time.
