Position: Events Sales Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Reports To: General Manager of Experiences

Position Summary:

Oversee all events, including training team members and working with experience staff. Responsible for all event preparation, including contracts and payment. Responsible for outreach to local businesses and event planners. Represents H&B at corporate or wedding showcases to promote event spaces. Hosts guests for site visits and tours of all H&B event spaces. Maintains event equipment and upkeep of spaces. Provide backup to Sales Manager and other Assistant Managers. Work nights and weekends as needed, including participation in Manager on Duty rotation.

Essential Functions

• Outreach to local businesses and event planners to bring in outside sales.
• Oversee all events and acts as the point of contact for event vendors and client.
• Prepare client event contracts and handles payment transactions.
• Working with experience team to staff exhibits and additional options for events.
• Continue building relationships with local event vendors.
• Primary contact for vendors during Living Legend/Auction event.
• Represents H&B at any corporate or wedding showcase.
• Performs inventory checks monthly of event supplies.
• Hosts guests for site visits and tours of all H&B event spaces.
• Work with outside vendors and clients on the preferred floor plans for events.
• Address any A/V malfunctions, including troubleshooting and contacting A/V service providers.
• Works closely with the marketing team on materials needed to properly promote event spaces.
• Responsible for working with custodial staff on the cleanliness of the spaces.
• Responsible for hiring and training future event staff.
• Notifies the General Manager of Experience of any needed upkeep of event spaces and equipment.
• Assist with advance bookings, including taking and returning calls, booking groups, billing, and greeting groups as needed.
• Provide backup to the General Manager of Experiences and other Assistant Managers.
• Work nights and weekends as needed, including participation in Manager on Duty rotation.

Other Duties

Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience will be considered.

Excellent customer service skills and mindset.

Strong and confident communicator.

Sales driven.

Knowledge of POS systems such as Outbound and Counterpoint.

Knowledge of and passion for baseball preferred.
