Full description of the position

Position Summary: Engages state and municipal government entities to identify and expand opportunities to generate sales for the organization.

  • Essential duties and responsibilities(3-5 core functions representing 80% of time spent):
  • Engages customers to create opportunities to expand sales for existing products as well as identify needs for new products serviceable by NewView.
  • Participates in community events, tradeshows and conferences, and industry groups to identify and generate new customers for the organization.
  • Works with internal team members to ensure satisfactory pricing for new and existing products to protect profitability while remaining competitive.
  • Works with Sales Operations Specialist to ensure high levels of customer communication, minimal lead time, high quality of product, and an overall positive customer experience.
  • Creates and manages customer records in Salesforce CRM to ensure accuracy and track all meaningful associated activities.
  • Creates and manages opportunity records in Salesforce CRM to ensure accuracy in forecasting and business development.
  • Works with Marketing to develop, launch, and report on marketing campaigns and automation.
  • Serves as a liaison between NVO and customers for up-to-date information on pricing, services and latest product releases.
  • Continuously updates all customers on product modifications, changes, and enhancements as well as cross-selling our other product lines.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
  • Maintains professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the company in a positive manner.
  • Must wear all protective equipment required by department.
  • Must follow all company policies and procedures including departmental safety policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications (Minimum education, experience, training, licensure, certification):
  • Bachelors degree preferred plus two years sales experience or five years of direct sales experience in lieu of degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience in Salesforce CRM or equivalent
  • Time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively manage customer and colleague relations.
  • Strong communication skills both in written and verbal form.
  • Proven forecasting and customer service skills.
