We are hiring a Florida or Georgia-based Sales Enablement Consultant to focus on teaching sales and design people from our dealer partners how to position our applications, services, and products.

What you will be doing:
We are looking for a person with sales and/or design experience to join our Sales Enablement team. Your territory will include FL, GA, NC, SC, and part of TN. You will focus on teaching other sales and design people from our dealer partners how to tell our stories and position our applications, services, and products. Our Sales Enablement Consultants (SEC) are passionate about creating great learning experiences that make it easy for salespeople to learn how to position the right product solutions to help their clients solve business issues. In this role, you will:
- Partner with Steelcase and dealer leadership to align on training priorities, and develop training plans for each dealership
- Promote training for new and existing products, stories and supporting tools which will make salespeople better at positioning our products with their clients. You will need to continually increase your knowledge of existing Steelcase products and learn the details of new products and updates to existing products.
- Develop salespeople’s new business development, presentation, showroom engagements and other sales skills.
- Develop and manage a training schedule involving multiple people and dealerships.
- Cultivate trust and strong relationships that provide you opportunities for coaching with new hires and experienced salespeople
- Partner with a variety of other team to create great learning experiences and deliver the content. This may include working with product launch teams to develop the training approach and content.
- Partner with other members of the SEC team to deliver large group trainings in other regions around the country and in Grand Rapids
- Use technology to deliver engaging virtual training
- Travel to dealer locations to engage them in hands-on experiences
Who You Are:
You are an experienced salesperson or designer who is passionate about helping people learn, curious about new learning approaches and enjoys solving customers business issues by creating great spaces. You are a teacher at heart and comfortable in front of large and small groups. You are good at developing relationships with all levels of leadership and can influence them to make good choices regarding learning options for their teams. You are also able to identify training needs and develop actions based on strategic priorities of both Steelcase and the dealerships. You can prioritize the training you do and which dealerships you spend time with and say no when appropriate. You have excellent communication, planning, and organizing skills. You understand the Steelcase sales and dealer organizations and know how to navigate these organizations to accomplish your goals. You have a strong understanding of Steelcase products, programs and services, and their application to meet customer needs.
Your Future Team:
The Sales Enablement Team is a group of independent, creative thinkers who regularly help each other and learn from each other. We like to try new approaches and continually refine our training approaches to deliver a great experience for our learners. The team is distributed across the country and work autonomously in their assigned region. We meet virtually a couple times each month and have 3-4 team meetings each year. We work hard and have fun.
Experience and Education:
This position is for an experienced salesperson who has 5+ years of experience in the contract furniture industry. Experience with Steelcase or a Steelcase dealership is preferred. Experience in the furniture industry as a design is helpful. A teaching or facilitation background is also helpful.
