Position Description: Art Services Sales Manager — Full-Time

Company Description: CURATORIAL is an internationally recognized art services firm based in Los Angeles with an established reputation for its work with the world’s top museums, collectors, galleries and artists. CURATORIAL’s museum-standard art services include, digital printing, framing, crating, storage, installation and art transportation.

Duties:

1.1. Maintain existing clients and new sales opportunities through prospecting, sales plans, marketing, and alliances with strategic partners. Communicate with art museums, galleries, art collectors, artists and corporate accounts to sell the Company’s products and services including digital imaging & printing, framing & mounting, packing and crating, exhibit design, fabrication & installation, inventorying, storage and transportation.

1.2. Generate Products and Services Estimates: You will be trained in estimating for all art services to equip your meetings with museum, collector, and artist clients to assess their project needs and create quotations for their art project.

1.3. Coordinate with Clients: Communicate to coordinate production and delivery of client orders for the professional fulfillment of project services.

1.4. Coordinate Production: Coordinate with the Production Supervisor to monitor the production and delivery of products and services to clients.

1.5. Monitor Art Services Work Orders and Invoices to ensure accuracy, consistency and timely execution of projects and timely payment of client invoices.

1.6. Monitor Expenses, project budgets, financial analysis, and forecasting with accounting.

Essential Qualities:

• At least three years sales experience for most of the required art services preferably in the Southern California region.
• Communication: Clear listening/understanding and ability to give concise well-reasoned responses.
• Adaptability: Ability to deliver consistent results while remaining flexible between projects.
• Customer Service: Ability to understand a client’s wishes, apply the company resources for the fulfillment the client’s project goals.
• Multitasking: Ability to shift attention from one project to another without losing focus on each project’s end goals.
• Time Management: Ability to efficiently structure one’s time and effort to achieve the prioritized objectives at hand.
• Organization: Ability to structure time and resources in a practical and purposeful manner.
• Collaboration: Ability to work in unison with a wide range of different personalities towards a common goal.
• Knowledge of appropriate, museum-standard art handling, crating, installation and transportation techniques and methods.

Experience useful but not essential:

• Knowledge of art shipping local, domestic and international
• Previous work with Adobe Suite, FileMaker Pro, QuickBooks, and Asana

Qualifications, Experience and Education

• Preferred but not required, a Degree in Business with emphasis in Supply Chain Management, Transportation and Logistics, Sales and Marketing, or International Business
• Ideal candidate will have experience in wholesale shipping

Location: CURATORIAL headquarters is located at 113 East Union Street, Pasadena, in the heart of Old Town Pasadena. We are close to public transit, and can offer free parking to employees.

Schedule/Pay: Competitive salary based on experience. Monday–Friday with weekend availability. CURATORIAL office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00.
